About Skin Rejuvenation

Laser skin rejuvenation involves brief, high-energy laser pulses applied to the skin. The intense energy causes a photoacoustic effect in the skin, stimulating cells to produce more collagen. The increased collagen production reduces the appearance of skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone.

Laser skin rejuvenation has been a popular aesthetic procedure for many years. Other ablative laser procedures remove top skin layers, causing pain and requiring downtime. Our non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation offers an alternative, gentler solution with the same collagen-producing results. The procedure is virtually painless with minimal side effects.

The Procedure

A skin rejuvenation procedure takes less than 30 minutes and is sometimes referred to as a Lunchtime Facial. Q-switched laser light is applied in a continuous motion across the patient’s treatment area, avoiding sensitive locations. Treatments are typically performed on the face, neck, and/or hands.

Side effects from the skin rejuvenation procedure are typically mild. Patients may have a slightly pinkish skin tone, as if they had just exfoliated or experienced a sunburn.

Typical Results

Patients can see a variety of improvements to skin appearance, elasticity, and tone as early as the first treatment. Fine lines are diminished, skin texture feels more consistent, and scars are less apparent.
