Pellevé radiofrequency treatments are painless, effective and have zero downtime. This revolutionary system utilizes radiofrequency waves that safely trigger an “injury response,” causing a cascade of new collagen production which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leaves you with tighter and younger-looking skin. Patients compare the experience to receiving a warm massage. Treatments are administered in under an hour and cause little to no swelling, redness, or pain. Patients are usually able to resume their normal routines immediately.
PROCEDURE
We begin by ensuring that you are relaxed and comfortable. Gentle steam is applied from a wand above your face, designed to open the follicles. The steam is oxygenated to help destroy any bacteria—great for fighting acne. Aromatherapy can be added to the steam to calm or stimulate cells. We then prepare your face, neck, and upper chest area using a special Clarisonic ultrasonic brush designed specifically to massage and cleanse your skin.
Your clean face and neck is then covered with a gel, and the main part of the treatment begins. A wand with a smooth, flat tip glides along the contours of the face while emitting radiofrequency waves. The tip of the wand is gentle yet precise and can be focused on problem areas or treat the entire face. The radio waves heat the deep layers of the skin to a precise 104° F—this is when the magic happens. Fibroblasts, the cells responsible for collagen production, rush in and begin to create large amounts of collagen fibers that fill in the wrinkles and leave the face looking younger.
Then we apply a soothing eye treatment, designed for your individual skin needs. A lightweight moisturizer or heavier face cream is designed to either stimulate or calm the skin as needed.
The final step is to apply moisturizers and protective sunscreen. With exposure to fresh skin, it is especially important to take precautions against UV damage. Our office carries many varieties of sunscreen protection for every lifestyle and frequently clients leave with sample products that are helpful for their individual skin type.
