Originally developed as a glaucoma medication, the active ingredient bimatoprost had a surprising side effect—long, luscious lashes. Allergan, the makers of Botox, took notice of these results. After years of study they developed Latisse, the first and only FDA prescription eyelash treatment.
Latisse is a once-a-day liquid, clinically proven to produce longer, fuller lashes. Lashes don’t just become thicker and longer, but also darker. Most patients begin to see results after just a few weeks, and many report such dramatic results that they taper down and use the product less frequently.
Ideal for people with naturally short, thin or brittle eyelashes, damaged lashes from the use of extensions, and people recovering from hair loss due to age or chemotherapy. You can safely discontinue the use of Lattise at any time, and your eyelashes will gradually revert to their previous state.
The liquid is applied to the upper eyelid using the special, sterile applicators included with your purchase. The lower eyelashes are automatically medicated as your blink. Some patients use it on thinning eyebrows, too!
