This treatment is specifically geared towards athletes, teens, and people suffering from acne on their backs sometimes referred to as “bacne.” No more waiting for your skin to clear on its own, this treatment and the right skincare products can help you get clearer skin more quickly.
Back acne can form when sebum, an oily substance produced by the body’s sebaceous glands, dead skin cells, and bacteria build-up and clog hair follicles. Clogged follicles eventually form an acne lesion.
To mitigate this condition, we follow a similar routine as during our deep-cleansing facials. The skin is cleansed and exfoliated to remove dead skin cells. We apply anti-bacterial, ozone-enhanced steam to open the follicles. Gentle extractions cleanse congested pores and remove blackheads. Depending on your specific skin type, we apply a treatment masque and moisturize your skin.
Lastly, we apply protective sunscreen. Fresh skin that is exposed during treatment is sensitive and must be protected from ultraviolet light. We carry many different SPF’s and varieties of sunscreen protection suitable for every lifestyle.
